ChartSynq

Terms of use

Last updated: 13 September 2026. A working draft. Have a lawyer review this before you charge anyone — particularly the withdrawal, VAT and liability clauses.

What this is

ChartSynq is charting and order-entry software. It shows data from your broker through your MetaTrader terminal and can place orders you instruct it to place.

ChartSynq is operated as described on the legal information page. You must be at least 18 to use it.

What this is not

ChartSynq is not a broker, not an investment firm and not an investment adviser. We never hold your money, never hold your positions, and never touch your orders: market data travels from your broker to your terminal on your own machine, and orders travel from your browser to that terminal. Neither ever passes through our servers, which handle sign-in and billing only. Your trading relationship is with your broker, under your broker's terms.

Nothing in the software — indicators, statistics, scores, replay results — is investment advice or a personal recommendation. The risk disclaimer is part of these terms.

Risk, plainly

Trading carries risk and you can lose money. Nothing in ChartSynq is investment advice, a recommendation, or a signal. Replay results do not predict live results — replay has no slippage, no requotes, no partial fills and perfect hindsight about which bar came next.

You are responsible for every order that reaches your broker, including orders placed by mistake, by a misread chart, or while automation of any kind is running. Test on a demo account first.

Live trading: timing, attention, and what stops when your machine does

ChartSynq hands an order to your terminal, and your terminal hands it to your broker. Between your click and a filled position sit your computer, your network, your terminal and your broker — and any of them can be slow. A slow link can mean a fill at a price other than the one you clicked, a fill much later than you expected, a partial fill, a rejection, or an order that turns out never to have been placed at all. A busy computer is part of that chain: another program, a heavy page, a virus scan — anything that takes the machine away — delays ChartSynq with it. What you see on screen is a report of what we were last told; your broker’s terminal is the record.

Live mode wants your attention for as long as it is on. Check at your broker what actually happened, before and after every action, and satisfy yourself that the software did what you told it to. If the two do not match, act in your terminal — that is the thing that owns your positions.

Nothing here runs while ChartSynq is not running. Close the tab, sleep the machine, restart it, lose power, or let it crash, and the app stops watching your open positions: anything it manages itself — partial take-profits, rule automation, alerts, the numbers on your screen — stops with it, and it does not go back and catch up on what it missed while it was gone. A level that must be honoured while your computer is off has to be a real stop or limit sitting at your broker.

Your account

One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your sign-in. We may suspend an account that is shared, automated against, or used to attack the service.

Your indicators and what you own

Custom indicators you write are yours. Writing one here does not give us any rights to it.

If you turn on cloud sync, we store your indicators so they follow you between machines. Stored is not shared: your indicators are not listed, not searchable, not shown to other users, and not reachable from our admin console. They are yours and stay private to your account.

Market data and copying

The software itself — ChartSynq's code, its interface, its look and everything on this site that is not a market price or something you yourself created — is ours. You may use it, not copy it: no reproducing, reverse engineering, scraping, or bulk or automated extraction of the service or any part of it, and no reselling or rebranding it as your own.

The market prices you see are not ours to give. In live use they come from your broker, over your terminal, under your agreement with that broker — ChartSynq neither owns that data nor licenses it to you, and your broker's terms govern what you may do with it. Most broker agreements license their feed for your own personal use and forbid redistributing or republishing it or building a database from it. You may not use ChartSynq to copy, extract, store, redistribute or republish your broker's data in any way your broker does not permit, and you are responsible for staying within your broker's terms. We reproduce that data for you to look at; we make no claim to it and grant you no rights in it.

The demo uses a fixed synthetic dataset — generated prices that are nobody's real feed. It is illustrative only and is likewise not for redistribution.

Saved replay files on a paid plan are encrypted and tied to your account (AES-256-GCM), and are opened only for an account whose plan includes replay files — a saved session is not a plain file anyone can read or pass around. You may not circumvent, remove or tamper with that protection, nor share account keys to defeat it. Doing so is a breach of these terms, and defeating a technical protection measure to get at data you are not entitled to may itself be unlawful under computer-misuse and copyright law. This protects the file; it does not turn the prices on your own screen into something you may redistribute — the market-data rule above still governs that.

Availability

We aim to keep the site up but do not guarantee it. Your terminal, your broker and your internet connection are outside our control, and the site being unavailable does not close your positions or cancel your orders — those live at your broker. Keep MetaTrader itself within reach.

Payment

There is nothing to pay at the moment and no card is collected. If that changes you will be told before it applies to you.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or losses caused by data your broker sent, by your terminal, or by your connection — nor for a delay, a mis-fill, or an action missed because your machine, your network, your terminal or your broker was slow, busy, disconnected or switched off.

The software is a tool, and the decisions taken with it are yours. Which trades you take, when, at what size, on which account, and how much you rely on what the software shows you, are your decisions and your responsibility. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited — including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. A change that matters — anything beyond wording — is announced by email to account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date is acceptance; if you do not accept, cancel and the old terms apply until your paid period ends.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may also bring disputes before your own courts. Talk to us first — most problems are a support ticket, not a lawsuit.
